The keynote address, delivered by Jeffrey Schafer, Vice Chairman of Global Banking at Citi, set the tone with a 30,000ft view of the region and the various macro movements driving change, together with how those fit into the global picture. A series of detailed discussions on sectors and regions followed; and, with investors weighing in, a frank and open exchange of views ensued. The Limited Partners panel offered a series of useful and sometimes surprising insights into how foundations, funds-of-funds, university endowments and development finance institutions make their asset allocation decisions.
